My last day of sightseeing before the convention. I started off with a visit to Avila Adobe, built in 1818, and the oldest existing house in Los Angeles.

Then I went down to Exposition Park, walked through the Rose Garden, then spent the rest of the day at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. Lots of fun stuff to see there, including an exhibit on the history of Los Angeles, from the Spaniards' first encounters with the natives through occupation by Spain, then Mexico, then the U.S., the Great Depression, the oil and gold rushes, and into modern times. I actually didn't have time to see everything in the museum, much less visit the nearby Science Museum.
