At the end of the wildlife viewing trip, we were taken to a clearing. We were far enough away from any cities that there was no light pollution at all and the stars were incredible. 'Diamonds on black velvet' sounds cliche, but that's truly what they looked like.
Day 12: Wed, June 16 - depart Tugalong to Sydney
This morning after breakfast, the morning is at leisure. (There is a chance for optional horseback riding for those who would like to participate. Additional cost of AUD $20.00 per person.)

Day 13: Thurs, June 17 - Sydney - sightseeing
Today is full of sightseeing in Sydney. Australia's oldest and largest city, it is also the state capital of New South Wales.
Your first stop is a guided tour of the Opera House and a visit to Mrs. Macquarie's Chair, where there is a perfect opportunity for a group photo with the Harbour Bridge and Opera House as a back drop. Next it's on to the Sydney Aquarium. After lunch, walk to the Powerhouse Museum for plenty of time to explore this "hands on" museum.
We visited things in a different order than described in the 'Schedule of Activities'.
Our first stop was to the beach to watch lifeguards from the Bondi Surf Club demonstrate rescue techniques.
Then we went to the museum. This is a model of the Strasburg clock. Flash photography wasn't allowed. |
There's a lobster hiding under a rock here.
